Women veterans have served in every branch, every era, and every kind of mission. They face unique challenges during and after service, and they don’t always feel seen in traditional veteran spaces.

DAVNY is working to change that.

Your service counts, and so do the benefits, care, and recognition that come with it.

Through local chapters, events, outreach, and volunteer opportunities, women veterans can connect with others who understand military service and life after service. DAVNY welcomes veterans of all generations, backgrounds, and experiences.

Advocacy for Women Veterans

DAV has long advocated for better care and stronger support for women veterans, including improvements in VA access, caregiver support, reproductive health, mental health care, and recognition of service-connected conditions.

DAV National’s third landmark report “Women Veterans: The Journey to Mental Wellness” is a comprehensive assessment of risk factors for suicide and how the mental healthcare system can and must do better.
