Advocacy for Disabled Veterans in New York

DAVNY works to ensure veterans and their families are heard, supported and never overlooked. Through benefits assistance, legislative advocacy, public awareness and local chapter involvement, we help protect the benefits veterans earned and strengthen support for veterans across New York.

Fighting for Veterans’ Rights and Benefits

We actively advocate for policies that improve the lives of disabled veterans, their families and survivors. We meet with elected officials to raise awareness of the challenges veterans face and support efforts that protect access to earned benefits, health care, transportation, employment resources and other essential services.

A Voice at Every Level

As part of DAV’s nationwide network, DAVNY helps bring veterans’ concerns to local, state and national conversations. Our members, chapters and leaders help identify the issues affecting veterans in their communities and speak up for solutions that make a difference.

DAV’s annual Mid-Winter Conference gives our members and leaders the opportunity to meet with federal lawmakers to discuss DAV’s legislative priorities and ways we can work together to help improve the lives of all veterans.
